Overview
You will be able to discover how to achieve energy savings by lowering chiller usage with adiabatic and direct free air coolers during low ambient conditions. You will also gain insight into how a centralised adiabatic water cooling system may help businesses, particularly those in the plastics industry, increase the effectiveness and reduce the energy usage of their cooling and chilled water systems. Additionally you'll hear about an example of an injection moulding company that saw its running costs of their electricity, water treatment, and water supply reduced by more than £200,000 with a return on investment of less than two years.
Learning Objectives:
- You will be able to comprehend how energy savings can be achieved through reducing chiller usage with adiabatic and direct free air coolers during low ambient conditions
- You will understand how companies in the plastics industry can improve the energy consumption of their cooling and chilled water systems
- You will learn about the energy design saving process and how these principles can be applied
- You will learn practical methods to assist in preparing your chiller for the winter
